Weddings in Italy Catholic wedding in St. Peter's Basilica ceremony

Wedding Settings

Settings

Italy offers an extraordinary palette of wedding venues — from fairytale castles and aristocratic villas to coastal hideaways and timeless countryside estates, each with its own soul and story

Concept & Design

Design

The concept is the first creative act — an emotional and aesthetic vision. From there, the design takes shape, translating that vision into forms, textures, colors, and atmospheres

Wedding Services

Services

We compose weddings as one-of-a-kind creations — where every service, from fragrance to lighting, music to materials, becomes part of a poetic dialogue between the couple, the concept, and the spirit of the venue.

ROMANTIC WEDDING IN ROME

The Choir's Chapel

The Cappella del Coro (Chapel of the Choir) may be accessed from the left-hand nave entering the Basilica through the main door and following the side nave approximately half-way through the Basilica.

The sumptuous Chapel of the Choir decorated with gilded stuccoes, is at the point where Michaelangelo's Renaissance design ends and Domenico Fontana's Baroque extension begins.

The paiting of the Blessed Virgin behind the altar has a crown that was added in 1904, on the 50th anniversary of the definition of the Immaculate Conception.

Regency can help you with the organisation and co-ordination of your Catholic wedding in St. Peter's Basilica providing you with all the information required and supervising every stage of the wedding and of the ceremony.
In order to be able to celebrate your wedding in Rome in the fantastic St. Peter's Basilica, precise rules and regulations must be followed.

Couples who wish to marry in the Cappella del Coro in St. Peter's must have their parish priest send a letter in which the priest consents to the couple's marrying in St. Peter's and explicitly requests that they may be married there. The days during which wedding celebrations are permitted are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

There are also specific regulations to be followed for the decorations. The music and the flowers (with the exception of the bridal bouquet which may be provided by Regency) must be supplied by the St. Peter's parish. The wedding photographic service may be assigned to the photographer of one's choice - who must however be authorised by the St. Peter's parish at least 10 days prior to the date of the wedding. Regency can provide professional photogrphers in Rome
Only church music is permitted and the instruments allowed are the organ and a tenor vocalist.
