BORGO DELLA MARMOTTA
This charming hamlet is situated just ouside the small the small village of Poreta, whose origins date back to the medieval time.
An attentive restoration was recently completed, thus returning it to its full original splendor.
Today the areas once essential for the countryside life, abandoned until recently, have sprung back to life in a different form: 11 rooms, 7 apartments, a restaurant, the living-rooms, the wellness area, the huge garden with the pool.
Besides its elegance and comfort, Borgo della Marmotta offers a hospitality based on the principle of making guests feel truly at home.
Thanks to this hidden corner of Umbria, you can rediscover the real connection with nature.
On the same property you will find the stunning Villa della Genga. Built in 1673 and surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, it was the favourite hunting lodge of Cardinal Annibale della Genga, who became Pope in 1823 with the name of Leone XII.
The way through the villa and the hamlet cross the huge olive grove of the family, which drive the guests to the history of this place.
