Balkanicaos
This group is composed of four musicians (violin, clarinet and sax, accordion, double bass), to which others may be added. The group was founded by musicians that come from Italy and from the Balkan Peninsula. These musicians joined together with the common intent to travel around with the music of those lands that for so mutch time have suffered for wars . The repertoire includes compositions by musicians who have reached international acclaim, such as Bregovic or the Cocani Orchestra, and others chosen from the immense traditional folk music repertoire, including the Yiddish culture and gypsy music. Particularly pleasant and amusing is the formation that includes a skilled actor who, through very intelligent sketches, transforms the musical performance into an interactive show, always based on Balkan traditions .
