Getting married in Tuscany: a life experience

I close my eyes for a couple of minutes and ask myself: why should I suggest Tuscany to my wedding couples willing to get married in Italy?

Many images of past and present weddings come to my mind. A soft feeling of cheerfulness. A phrase taken from the splendid film "A room with a view" set in the very heart of Tuscany: "There is something in the Italian landscape which inclines even the most stolid nature to romance".

I see a romantic somehow shabby-chic venue in the Chianti countryside with a cotto terrace from which one enjoys the greatest views on the surrounding hills. They have natural colour nuances going from green to ochre, some are dotted with red poppies or yellow sunflowers, others have vineyards and olive groves. Just like in a painting. If you google "Macchiaioli" you will know what I mean...

Vineyards all around. That brings to my mind the delicious products of this unique Italian region - well, I see a rustic wooden table right in the middle of the terrace with people comfortably seated under a wisteria pergola in a light summer evening breeze: good red wine flowing, tasty meat...or homemade pasta with wild boar sauce! Ahhh, the perfect matches to taste the Region!

Not to mention the historical and artistic heart of Tuscany: Florence. With its unparelleled Renassaince and Neo Classic palaces - whose graceful gardens are the perfect location to host an elegant wedding - and much more, Florence is an open air museum with timeless masterpieces in every corner of the town, that one can meet while strolling among its little picturesque alleys looking for a café, a typical restaurant or even a fashion and craft boutique.
