How to choose your wedding colors
1 . Not to many, not too few!Keep it simple and carefully select from two to four colors for your wedding. The only must is that colors match well together. You can even go with just one main color and decline it in its different shades.Don’t forget that using a few colors will make your wedding style smoothier and more pleasant to the eye .2 . Focus on color trends for the textile and furnitureYou can choose trend colors/patterns for your wedding theme, but try to keep them well balanced. For instance, remove printed table linen or fabric that may look too flashy with the risk of being kitsch (e.g. wide or thick stripes are definitely out!)3 . Use complementary colors, for instance a pale blue in contrast with bright orange or a lavender tone with touches of bright yellow and soften them with neutral tones (white, gray, beige or silver).4. Avoid color combinations with a commonly recognized meaning:For an Italian wedding never match red, green and white for instance, unless you want to give your wedding look patriotic!Or again burgundy and dark green, which of course reminds of Christmas decorations! If you wish to use these colors, opt for the darker or lighter shades and combine them with neutral tones .5 . Mix texturesMaterials you’ll use are as much important as colors: try to incorporate different textures, smooth in contrast to embossed, shining together with opaque shades and so on. This will give an original creative touch to your décor even with a one/two colors palette.6 . Try to stick with the natural shades of a flowerThere are some colors, such as blue, which are not so common in nature so better if you use these tones in decorations (paper, fabric…) and go with neutral ones flowers.7 . Do not forget about your wedding location style Your reception venue of course has its own colors, so make sure your flowers and decoration don’t clash with them.If you're getting married in the countryside, think about the green grass. If you get married indoors, take into account floors, walls and furniture colors.8 . Wedding invitations and stationeryThe colors you’ll choose should be reflected in all elements of your wedding. This will make your wedding style clear to your guests at a first glimpse.
