The quartet was founded in the summer of 1995. In 1998 it became known
under its current name as the "Regency String Quartet". Since the
musicians come from divergent musical backgrounds (classical, Jazz and
pop) the quartet is quite eclectic and offers a vast repertoire covering
various styles from different time periods. From 1995 to 1998 the
quartet became more purely classical; this permitted the musicians to
create a blend of sounds that has brought them much success during those
years in Italy and abroad, always receiving favorable reviews. The
quartet's wide range of jobs has made it possible for the formation of a
different kind or repertoire, more "worldly" made up of famous pieces of
popular music as well as classical.
From 1998 to today, in fact, the quartet has extended its activity from
performing in concert halls to performing in the halls of luxury hotels,
reception halls, and tourist-reception structures... In recent
years the quartet has become a point of reference nationally for
performances at conferences, ceremonies, events, exhibitions, festivals
and fairs, working closely with clubs like Lions and Rotary.
