The Regency String Orchestra 1 has 14 musicians and a director.
The Regency Orchestra was created in 1999 to perform music for solo
instrument and string orchestra. The group is made up of 3 first
violins, 3 second violins, 2 violas and 1 cello, but it can also grow to
up to 14 instruments or more, depending on the musical requirements.
The concept of the Regency Orchestra is that of an enlarged quartet. The
group has the sound of the classical quartet, but also has the ability
to play pieces for solo instrument(s).
The group’s performances of Vivaldi’s concertos from his “Estro Armonico”
have received high acclaim for years. The musicians, all professionals,
brought to light their abilities as soloists and as chamber musicians in
these performances.
High-quality musicality, attention to detail and professionalism are
the motto of our Orchestra.
The ensemble is in high demand for events, ceremonies, banquets, and
weddings. They have performed in some of the most beautiful villas,
castles and hotels in the area and receive praise wherever they go.
During the summer months, they often perform chamber music and operatic
concerts (with vocal soloists) at the most famous seaside resorts in
Italy.
