
This musician has been solo harpist for the 'Orchestra del Maggio
Musicale Fiorentino' in Florence since 1985.
She studied at the G.Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro with Bianca Maria
Monteverde and graduated with highest honors.
Soon after graduation from the conservatory, she went on to win the
Third Salvi Competition and the Eleventh Pctrini-Zamboni Conpetition.
She has been the harpist in the Youth Orchestra of Italy (Orchestra Giovanile Italiana) as well as in the European Community Orchestra
(Orchestra della Comunità Economica Europea E.C.Y.O.) since 1984.
After graduation she continued to perfect her studies under the guidance
of J. Ivan Roncea and M. Costello and as a result won a scholarship to
study at the renowned Curtis Institute in Philadelphia (USA).
In 1995 she was invited to go to Amsterdam for the Third European Harp
Convention, to give a seminar on lyric-symphonic repertoire of the
Italian orchestra.
In recent years she has been researching so-called light or popular
repertoire, dedicating herself to re-working and transcribing various
types of popular music, with particular attention on jazz repertoire for
the harp.
She also plays as a soloist in various musical groups.
