She began taking flute lessons when she was very young, at the Conservatorio Cherubini in Florence, where she obtained her diploma, with excellent results, in 1986, simultaneously completing her secondary school courses and graduating from a programme specialised in Classic Studies. Subsequently, she followed various specialisation courses held by influential and respected flautists at an Italian and international level, such as Mario Ancillotti, Condrad Klemm, Alain Marion, Maxence Larrieu and, recently, Michele Marasco. Her orchestral experiences are numerous and varied, both in symphonies and operas: from 1988 to 1996 she was a member of the Orchestra Camerata Musicale of the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, with which she performed during various opera and symphonic seasons, concerts, tours both in Italy and abroad and CD recordings.
She is a permanent collaborator of the Orchestra del Giglio in Lucca, the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina, the Gruppo Strumentale Veneto G. Malipiero, the Orchestra A. Modigliani in Leghorn and with the Cittą Lirica Orchestra. Currently, she dedicates the greater part of her concert activity to chamber music (duo with piano, duo with guitar, duo with harp, trio of flute, oboe and guitar), constantly acclaimed by the public and critics alike, both in Italy and across Europe. Her activity in the field of didactics is also worthy of note: currently she permanent professor of flute and transverse flute at the Scuola Civica Musicale in Campi Bisenzio (since 1988) and at the Accademia Musicale in Florence (since 2000).
