Located right on the beach, a stone’s throw from the sea, the restaurant La Pineta is a fascinating and unusual venue for a wedding reception in Italy, as well as for a pleasant culinary stop during your holidays on the Costa degli Etruschi (Tuscany). The restaurant is close to Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, a land of great, prestigious wines, worldwide famous (Sassicaia, Ornellaia, just to mention the most renowned).
In the Eighties Luciano Zazzeri, the current owner and a passionate fisherman, started to collaborate with his parents in the management of the restaurant, making changes to the traditional cuisine of the restaurant with new and more varied recipes, paying more attention to the cellar and the selection of the wines, increasing the varieties and the choice.
Still today, Luciano owns three family boats that are the major providers of the products on which his cuisine relies: the fresh fish of the local coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea. He took typical recipes of the Tuscan cuisine and of the Livorno coast, introducing changes, new and original ingredients, with a different way to prepare them and cook them, but still in the respect of the integrity of flavour. Simplicity in the essential furniture and in the kitchen is the keyword that has led this restaurant to success, which is highly considered by the Guida dell’Espresso and has recently entered the star-studded Olympus of the Michelin Guide.
