Wedding Photographer in Lake Como

Michele Dell'utri

Michele Italian Photography Artist, Italian Federation, Photographers Association and member of The Italian Association of Professional Photographers. He became passionate about photography at a very young age and even today after almost 20 years in the business, continues to pursue photography with the same drive and enthusiasm.

His passion for photography has brought him all around the world in the discovery of man, his culture, and his traditions; this passion was consolidated in various works that brought him notoriety on a national level. The continuous research of photos and images often led him to explore even deeper, all aspects of man, and like a small child, trying to grasp and bring out their richness and soul. In fact his black and white portraits have received notable recognition.

Another favorite of Michele is the "magic of movement" relating to dance. As the official Photographer for the "MICHELE ABATE" International Dance Competition, he was able to use his photos to underline the fascinating union of technique and pure art form, creating what Michele himself defines as "Poetry of Movement". His research and interests lead him to the traditional celebrations of the "Settimana Santa" (Saint Week) in Sicily and he recently published a photography volume entitled "Sounds and Silences" in addition to various books of photography and theme calendars. He has shown his photography in numerous gallery exhibitions , the last one, but not in importance, in 2002 at the crowning of a long career in photography where he was honored for his achievement as "Italian Photographer Artist".

Over the last few years he has specialized in wedding pictures and other ceremonies, creating a style that combines classic photography with reportage. His wide professional experience, and his innate sensibility, allow him to always capture a look, a natural spontaneous smile, never at random, that brings out the expressions and emotions of such an important day. The images in his photographs are brought out by spontaneity and play with shadow and light.

Michele travels all around Italy for his job but he works mainly in two areas: The first one is Sicily for sure, the land where he grown up and that has no secrets for him: in Palermo, Taormina, Noto or Cefalù Michele is able to catch the real pathos of Sicilian atmosphere and you can feel his deep knowledge of places, colors, flavors and people in every single photograph.

The second area where Michele likes to photograph is the Lake of Como: maybe also here the water element is decisive, and for sure the challenge with the soft and sophisticated atmosphere surrounding the lake provoked his artistry, that's why he realized on the Lake of Como some of his favourite and better known photo reportage.

A series of components from the "shot" to print, from the creation to originality, play a fundamental role and must move together in perfect unison to guarantee an image of sure success. The black and white photos, among others, are personally printed by him in a dark room, following the old printing techniques and therefore creating unique works of art. On the web site you can find examples of photographic images from wedding ceremonies where Michele's best photographic expressions unite with the needs of the bride and groom and with the setting and location where the wedding takes place.
