Many Farms and Agriturisms in Tuscany offer Cooking classes during which, in a fun and cheerful way, you can learn to get to know and to cook some of the typical local dishes. The opportunities are numerous and can last from one day to up to one week.

OUR OFFERS:

COOKING CLASS ON AN ESTATE IN THE HILLS OF THE CHIANTI

u Weeklong Class: 5 days of practical lessons which take place in the kitchen of the estate and which are followed by lunch in the restaurant.
The lessons last for 3 hours, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Students will receive folders with the recipes.

u The program is set up in the following way:
History of old-fashioned and modern Tuscan cuisine: various types of "antipasto" with typical sauces.
Preparation of first courses according to tradition: tomato sauce, "ragł", Florentine "farinata" (soup made of yellow flour) and lasagna.
Tour of the Wine Cellar, the Oil Press, the vineyards, tastings of the products and theoretical lessons about wine.
Roasted and grilled meat with natural Tuscan seasonings and/or scottiglia.
Fish: explanation of how to cook fish, "Friday" fish, in the Tuscan family tradition, according to the best traditions. To finish of the meal: some seasonal fruit desserts and/or "Tiramisł".

u Minimum Number of Participants: 5 pax.

u Type of stay: half board (breakfast, samples of the dishes cooked, dinner) or full board (breakfast, samples of the dishes cooked, lunch, dinner).

COOKING CLASS IN A VILLA IN THE HILLS OF THE CHIANTI

u One Day Class: held by an expert Tuscan chef who will teach you how to get to know and how to prepare the typical dishes of the Tuscan culinary tradition in the large kitchen of the Villa.

u You will be accompanied on a tour of the wine cellars, the oil press as well as of the gardens of the Villa.

u Lunch in the room of the old oil press with dishes prepared by the students of the class.

u Minimum Number of Participants: 20 pax.

COOKING CLASSES IN A "PALAZZO" IN MONTAIONE  (NEAR.FLORENCE)

SHORT PROGRAM - 4 DAYS:
u Three-Day Class: from Thursday to Saturday 9:30/12:30) held by the palazzo's kitchen staff.
uThe program is set up in the following way: didactic materials are supplied (aprons, large wooden forks, hats, etc.); presentation of the recipes, descriptions and choice of the ingredients, preparation of the various "antipasto" dishes, pastas and soups, desserts, dessert sauces.
Two visits to farms for wine tastings are also included.
At the end of the class you will receive a Participation Certificate from the Chef.
u Number of participants: from 4 to 12 pax.
u Type of stay: full board.
FULL PROGRAM - 6 DAYS:
u Four-Day Class: from Monday to Friday 9:30/12:30, given by the palazzo's kitchen staff.
uThe program is set up as follows: Same as the Short Program, but including additional "antipasto" and dessert dishes with more elaborate and complicated preparations.
u Number of participants: from 4 to 12 pax.
u Type of stay: full board.
