This mandolin player was born in Pisa in 1966 and began his studies in 1975 under the guidance of Maestro Marcello Rossi (born in 1913, mandolin player and baritone, and student of Pittaco Sbrana, the renowned Maestro of the 'Circolo Mandolinistico' (mandolin circle) in Pisa). This musician's true artistic activity began, however with the maestro and friend, Giuseppe Marcogliese, with whom he had the opportunity to participate in various musical groups. These experiences allowed him to begin a semi-professional career, rich in experiences and satisfaction in a short amount of time.
In March 1994 he began to play the mandolin in a folk music group, 'Ramo d'oro'. This group continues to play inn concert. It has played a number of times at many local parties and in shows of varied importance, which gave rise to opportunities to play at the following events:
1999 - participation in the show "Volando in stazione" organized by the town of Pisa.
1998 - participation at the opening of the summer shows of the town of Calci.
1998 - Pisa - "Festa di S. Ubaldo" concert in Piazza S. Michele.
1997 - Florence - Piazza SS Annunziata - 'Rassegna Internazionale di Musica Folclorica' (International Folk Music Show).
1997 - 1999 - Unna, Dortmund (Germany) four concerts during the 'week of Italian culture'.
1997 - Pisa - "Strada Facendo" in the courtyard 'cortile della Sapienza'.
1996 - Pisa - Teatro Verdi participation in "Il Tango delle Notti Bianche".
1995 - Maresca (Pistoia) - 'Extra d'arte 95' organized by the "Proloco di Maresca".
1995 - Pisa - concert in the San Paolo all'Orto church organized by the ''Associazione Amici della Lirica'.
