FRANK SINATRA JAZZ BAND

Jazz and Blues music for Events and Weddings in Italy.

Afo Sartori (one of the leading jazz music critics and experts) says: Giangi Zucchini, class of 1940, sweet, somewhat scratchy voice, the prototype of a jazz that conjoins culture and entertainment, in short, an entertainment of proven sharpness and leadership. He has been playing drums since the beginning of time, self-taught; in 1960 he began travelling across the world, playing on cruise ships (North America and the Caribbean), and then settled down in the States, where he worked for about ten years alongside indigent artists, performing in the best clubs. A great admirer of Max Roach, he has attempted to continuously enrich his style, filtering the maestro’s exceptional drumming.

Upon returning to his native land, he did not permit his career to lose its musical verve, and he founded numerous bands in his city, Lucca, with local and non-local musicians. He plays with Gianni Basso, with his fellow townsman Giovanni Tommaso, Antonello Vannucchi, Marco Tamburini, Mike Wilson and the dearly lamented Fulvio Sisti. Today, he performs in various clubs across Italy, with a success that is correspondent to his smiling and contagious sympathy and his irresistible drive.
