One of the most interesting phenomena of the past few years is the re-discovery of jazz as dance music. During the era of swing music, a period which today, with the historical perspective of the new millenium, could be considered the most classic period of jazz, big orchestras performed in clubs for audiences who were passionate about dance. We are witnessing a revival of a kind of music and way of dancing whose rhythmic energy is unparalleled.
This band is one of the most important bands of Jive and Swing music in Italy. The band's song set includes, besides classic songs by Benny Goodman, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway and Louis Prima, a tribute to the great Fred Buscaglione, with pieces like "Che Notte", "Teresa" and "Eri piccola". The band (voice, four woodwinds and a rhythm section) has solid experience in live performances. They have played in clubs, festivals, as well as on radio and television shows, which really draw the audience in, between Swing, Jive and Blues. Among the performances, it is worth mentioning the performances at the Jazz Festival in Ferrara and the Jazz Festival in Marostica, the many evenings in jazz clubs like "Chet Baker" in Bologna (where the CD was recorded), the "Torrione" in Ferrara, the "Fano Jazz Club" and performances in the casinos of Nova Corica, Kranjska Gora and Campione.
