This group was created in February 1995. It is made up of musicians from various musical backgrounds and has received favorable feedback from both audiences and critics of performances in pubs and clubs throughout Tuscany.
In July 1996, thanks to Graziano Uliani's interest, the group participated as the only Tuscan band in the Porretta Soul Festival, a Tribute to Otis Redding, the biggest European show dedicated to the Memphis-style Soul music. In that occasion, the band received the compliments of Otis Redding III, the son of the late Otis Redding and performed with Laverne Baker, the charismatic artist from Chicago, who wrote the famous R'n'B hit "Saved" and who passed away in 1997.
In June 1997 they were the only soul band to play at the prestigious 'Anfiteatro Jazz' show in Lucca, at which high-caliber artists such as Michel Petrucciani, Miroslav Vitons, the quartet of the Italian Giovanni Tommaso and many others played. In 1998 the band participated in the Blues & Soul Festival in Sestri Levante (Genoa). Thy received a positive review by Gianni Del Savio, which is published in the musical magazine, 'Buscadero'. In July 1998 Uliani organized the Porretta Soul Festival on Tour, he invited the band to participate at the Peschiera Sweet Soul Festival in Milan for the opening of Solomon Burke's concert, one of the biggest legends in soul music in the world. In addition, in an exceptional event, the band participated once again in the Porretta Soul Festival Tribute to Otis Redding, with simultaneous radio broadcasts on the Italian radio stations, Radio2, Rai, Radio Radar, as well as various television transmissions and received very positive reviews in the specialized magazine, 'Blues'. Moreover the band boasts collaborations with illustrious artists such as Lannie Me Millan, saxophone player for the Memphis All Stars R&B Band and Dwayne Thomas, bass player in that same band and currently a musician for Zucchero. The band's song set is made up mostly of Soul Music, R&B, and Funky, with special attention to music from Memphis as well as several Motown pieces (Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, etc.) and HI (Al Green, etc.). Matteo and Cristina's solo voices create the band's character. Matteo comes from a long experience on the stage and in recording studies. Among the various experiences to cite are two years on tour with Sergio Caputo. Cristina, the black voice of the band, grew up with the sounds of Gospel, R&B, Soul and Jazz. She sang for years with the Florentine gospel choir, 'Jubilee Shouters' directed by Gianna Grazzini and Mauro Grossi. A well-integrated rhythm section, which has been together for five years and which is already used to accompanying great voices, supports the band's groove. Emilio plays the tenor saxophone. He is the captain of the woodwinds. The eclectic Mando Nardi assists him on the trumpet. The band gives live performances in various clubs in Tuscany, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, and so on. They have played at the following venues, among others: Mississippi and Easy Rider (Pisa), Rigido (Pistoia), Blues Inn (Florence), Route 66 (Arezzo), Arca (Grosseto) Fuori Rotta (Livorno), Norman's (Elba-Livorno), Senhor do Bonfim and 1998 (Genoa), Paparazzi by Bar Fly (AN), Memphis Train and Rocca del Soul (Bologna) and Porcospino (MS), Blues Again (SP) and Flannery's (Lucca).
