
This musician was born in San Miniato (Pisa) in December 1955. He began to study the guitar in 1967 going through the most varied repertoires, from pop music to classical European composers of the nineteenth century. He has always been interested in researching and reviving popular works from the Italian tradition, especially those from Tuscany. He performed frequently from 1975 onwards as a member of the group "Compagnia Controcanto". In 1978 he began to study the lute as well as Renaissance and Baroque music performance under the guidance of Guido Rosson.
He then studied at the "Civica Scuola di Musica" in Milan with Paul Beier and attended specialization classes with the best masters in Europe, like Jakob Lindberg and Hopkinson Smith. He has given numerous concerts in Italy and abroad (Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Egypt) both as a soloist as well as in an ensemble. He has participated on radio, television and in the recording studio; recording, among others: Compositori lucchesi dal '500 al '700, (Sonitus),….; Nuova inventione di balli, (Sonitus), Le Gratie d'amore (Dynamic).
