Ceremonies in Italy

CEREMONIES IN ITALY

Civil wedding, religious wedding, symbolic ceremony
or blessing.

Italy is a country that simply draws people to return and return. Such beauty and wonder is so engaging, that many couples seek to marry in Italy. Getting married in a country other than your own has grown to be called a "destination wedding". Each section of Italy has its own particular charm and appeal.
Regency
is among the oldest and most prestigious of Italy's wedding planning agencies. Their expertise takes away much stress and their access to amazing locations takes away the "guesswork". One of their absolutely unique abilities is to provide a minister, English speaking, who can celebrate a wedding at any site - church, villa, hotel, garden, etc. and have the marriage legally valid without getting another ceremony prior to the wedding.
Weddings in Italy can arrange all types of weddings - a valid civil wedding, religious wedding, symbolic ceremony or a simple blessing. There are necessary papers to be drawn up and presented to the local authorities.
These documents vary according to the type of ceremony and the nationalities of the bride and groom. Regency has long experience in working with these documents and can guide you smoothly through the process.
Symbolic weddings, which are highlighted by a blessing or a ceremony, are especially beautiful for an anniversary celebration or for couples who have had a civil ceremony in their home countries. Coming to Italy puts a traditional and emotionally rewarding sense to the memorable occasion. Symbolic weddings can be performed in chapels or any private settings. There are no limitations or restrictions to where they are held. It is not unusual and very heartwarming that many of the anniversary couples have ancestral ties to Italy.
Civil ceremonies can be very meaningful and beautiful in Italy, because they are performed in Town Halls throughout the country. Many of the Town Halls are historic and architecturally significant. Each has its own particular charm. The Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo and the Cavalli Palace in Venice are special favorites among the more than 3000 weddings, Regency has arranged in town halls. We have planned such weddings in more than 120 Italian towns and cities. Some of the City Halls are palaces, perfect for a wedding. These ceremonies are conducted in Italian, but Weddings in Italy provides an interpreter, whose English is impeccable. We can arrange for a celebrant, recognized by the Italian state, to give civil validity to your wedding in a Catholic or Protestant church, a synagogue or in any other private location such as a villa, garden, castle or hotel.
Since Italy is a predominantly Roman Catholic country, there is no end to the choices of churches for Catholic ceremonies. Catholic weddings must take place in a church. The process is routine when handled by experts. The documents and pre cana classes are the same all over the world. Your local diocese will assist you in obtaining a NIHIL OBSTAT, signed by your Bishop. The Italian church cannot receive these documents earlier than 6 months before the wedding and are usually received about a month before the big day. Weddings in Italy has great experience in arranging Protestant, Jewish and Orthodox ceremonies. These ceremonies can take place in a church or synagogue or in a lush garden, historic palace or villa or practically any location to please the individual couple.
Regency provides a celebrant recognized by the state to give civil validity to the religious ceremony.

Weddings in Italy is deeply proud of the services they provide and proud of their country. They seek to make each wedding “one of a kind” and an unforgettable time in the couple’s life.
